Four men were injured in a automobile crash on Highway 47 Wednesday afternoon that shut the highway down for more than two hours.
Mark McDougal, a senior trooper with the Oregon State Police, said that Jon R. Holte Jr., 20, of Cornelius, was driving a 1986 Chevrolet Blazer on Old Highway 47 when he came to a stop at the road's intersection with Highway 47.
According to police, Holte then pulled out onto the highway, right in front of a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by Eddie P. Gust, 43, of Forest Grove.
The Blazer was struck by the front of the Ram.
Holte and his two passengers, Bradley J. Dougherty, 18, of Beaverton, and Alexander N. Watkins, 20, were injured in the crash.
Holte was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Oregon Health Sciences University where he was listed in stable condition. Dougherty was transported by ambulance to Tuality Community Hospital.
Watkins refused transport to a hospital for his minor injuries.
Gust, who suffered minor injuries, also refused transport.
All four men were wearing safety belts.
Police are continuing the investigation.
