The Tuality District of Boy Scouts of America will give Richard Kidd its first Good Scout award next month in recognition of his time as mayor of Forest Grove.
The district, which covers western Washington County from Aloha to Vernonia, will hold a reception in Kidd’s honor 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Pacific University.
The award is typically presented to those who embody the public service ideals of the Boy Scouts of America.
Denny Doyle, mayor of Beaverton, got the award last year from the district that includes Beaverton and eastern Washington County.
