Viks again come through for Concours d’Elegance
Once again, community volunteers have stepped up to help Rotary of Forest Grove in presenting the Concours d'Elegance a weekend ago.
And while every volunteer is important and necessary for such a production to be a success, the undersigned are particularly grateful for the unselfish service of the Forest Grove Viking football team.
It is these young men who came together on Saturday morning to procure tables and chairs from around Forest Grove to help prepare the Pacific University campus for the Sunday show, and when all was said and done on Sunday evening, showed up to return the tables, chairs and other equipment to its rightful place.
It is the aim of Rotary in this project to not only raise money for a variety of outstanding causes, but also to present a quality show of cars, musical entertainment and good food. And somewhere in all of that is the desire to return the campus to a condition as close as possible to what it was early Friday morning. And the Vikings played a major role in that.
So, in a way to say thank you, let's support our Vikings at their first home game this year against Wilson High School on Sept. 10 on Jeff Durham Field at Dick Hendricks Stadium. Thanks again, and Remember, above all else, Go Vikings!
